What this site is
Project Zomboid Atlas brings an interactive map, town references, survival guides, and browser-based planning tools together. It is an independent fan resource, not an official service of The Indie Stone. The game and its imagery belong to their respective owners.
The atlas does not connect to your save or game server. A mapped building is a scouting target, not a promise of loot, a safe entrance, or a recommended base in every world.
How the references are built
Town centers and building categories come from the map dataset distributed with this site. Town pages select the nearest matching location in each supply category, up to six categories within 1,800 map tiles of the recorded center. Distances use the straight line between coordinates; they are not road distances or travel-time estimates. A medical category can include a clinic as well as a hospital.
Coordinates link directly to the atlas so you can inspect the approach. Map imagery is a snapshot, and markers describe the dataset. Updates, mods, sandbox settings, and changes in your own save can make the scene differ from what you see here. Read the build and map notes before applying a route to a different world.
Guide references appear beside the article content. Official Project Zomboid news provides release context; community references such as PZwiki explain mechanics and locations. Planning advice is phrased as a choice to check in your own run. Editable tool defaults are examples, not measured game constants.
Dates and corrections
Article publication dates record when a page first became public. Updated dates record a change to its advice, references, or linked map information; rebuilding the website alone does not advance them.
If a location, explanation, or interaction is wrong, use the contact and corrections page. Include the page address, game build, and the difference you observed. Confirmed content corrections are applied to the affected page with an updated date; unresolved differences should be described as limitations rather than presented as verified facts.
Your plans and the code
Map markers and tool entries stay in this browser unless you export them or deliberately share a link. There is no account or cloud backup. The privacy page explains hosting, email, and limited site measurement.
The site's code license is available in LICENSE.txt. Third-party library notices are retained with their distributed files; this code license does not grant rights to Project Zomboid game imagery.
